Union minister Ram Kripal condemns incident, says Bihar's condition is deteriorating

In a shocking incident that exposed the deplorable safety and security measures for women in Bihar, a class 10 girl was allegedly gangraped in a moving train by a group of six people and was thrown out before the train reached Kiul junction.

According to a team of doctors, her condition is still critical and she is under continuous supervision at the Patna Medical College and Hospital.

The girl belongs to Lakhochak village in the Lakhisarai district. She stepped out of her home on Thursday night to answer nature’s call and was kidnapped by the group.

The accused then took her to the Vanshipur Railway station and boarded a local train. As Kiul Junction approached, they threw her from the moving train in the wee hours of Friday.The locals took the girl to a nearby medical centre where her parents reached in the afternoon.

With her condition continuously deteriorating, the doctors referred her to the PMCH where she was initially denied a bed.Bihar Chief MinisterNitish Kumarhas assured the girl of bringing the perpetrators of this horrific crime to justice. A team, led byLakhisaraiDSP Pankaj Kumar, has been formed to investigate the matter.

Condemning the incident, Union minister of State for Rural Development, Ram Kripal Yadav, said Bihar’s condition was deteriorating with criminals moving around without any fear of the administration and law.
