After a record-breaking box office run in India and the rest of the world, SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is set to release in China. The Prabhas-and-Rana Daggubati-starrer was slated to release there in July earlier. But its Chinese fans will have to wait a tad longer as it will only release on September 17 now. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala has confirmed that Baahubali 2 will release in 4,000 screens in China. He also revealed that the film's stars will soon fly out to promote it there. He posted on social media: “#Baahubali2 will release in #China in Sep’17 in 4,000 Screens.. BO Target: ¥300M ($44.1 Million).. Stars will go to #China for Promotions..”

Ramesh added: “#China Distr #EStars sets a minimum BO target for its movies pre-release. The BO Target: ¥300M ($44.1 Million). For #Dangal – it was ¥500M ($73.5 M). It exceeded & at $182M now.” The Baahubali producers have chosen E Star, which distributed Dangal earlier, as their distributor as well in China.
Indeed, Aamir Khan’s Dangal has not only raked in the moolah at the Chinese box office but its run time in theatres has also been extended by a month. Now, can the Prabhas-starrer repeat the feat? That remains to be seen.
